Today was much better than yesterday. I set my alarm at a good hour. I knew what time I planned to be in the office. And I made it. I actually ended up in 2 meetings today (back at the other building). The first was this morning at 10am. Good meeting. After that Raul took me on a tour between the 6th, 7th and 8th floors. Up and down the halls. In and out of different offices. Many people I may or may not remember this go 'round. I'm going to need a legend.
We came back to the building and another manager (the one guy that worked hard to get me here - aside from Raul), apologized for not being able to sit and talk to me yesterday so he did today. He said, (paraphrased) "Raul make sure you get her all f the information she needs. All of the
documentation she needs and Natasha, If there's something you don't have or if someone
bothers you, you let me know. I feel like I have an Ace on the team and need to
make sure she's up to speed with everything." (popping my collar) I made out a list of things that I needed to discuss with Raul regarding the different programs, CGI, logistics etc. Everyone's so busy but i'll have to stay on him.
12:00 and the room clears. Everyone goes to lunch at noon. I think we finally left around 12:30, Raul and I. He took me to this lil cafe.. it was nice! We talked about the plan, a little, for our team and a few items from my list of things to discuss with him. Good productive lunch then headed back to the building. At some point, shortly after we get there he comes to me and says, "you may need to come with me to this meeting at 2pm" Oh, well that's short notice but ok. Back to the other building we go. Another good meeting. Afterward, our team talked briefly about the meeting and how we can best suit their needs. And I told them, "well from experience we can do 'a', 'b', 'c'..." and the manager turned to me and said, "now I see why Raul wouldn't shut up about you. You just laid out the plan for how we're going to approach all of these programs!" Well thanks! LOL
I stayed at the building until 6pm. The goal is to get out of there before the sun goes down. And with the days getting shorter as the winter months get closer, we'll be sure to pack up early. One of the ladies that came in today asked if we could walk out together. And we did. She and I, once back to the hotel, decided to go have dinner together. NO, not Applebee's. We went to Houlihans. Never heard of it. But it was good.
Now i'm back at the hotel, sleepy as all get out. While talking ot my mama she said I sounded as if I were sniffing. I don't remember doing so but maybe i did. My throat is hurting a little. Not sore. Hurts. And my ear has a slight ache (pre New Jersey). So I may need to get something tomorrow for that. My head was hurting earlier so maybe that's what's got me so sleepy. this Tylenol lol.
Anyhoo, that's it in a nutshell.
